Some time videos, music
and photos files can be shown double, tripled or more in your Windows
Phone 8.
This could be related with
the Micro SD Card inserted in your phone.
PS.: Make you sure there
aren't copies of the same files into the phone internal memory.
The troubleshooting step I
am going to explain works many time but not always.
- Take the phone.
- Go to Settings>Phone Storage>
- Tap SD card.
- Tap on Format SD card.
- Tap on Yes.
- Once you formatted the SD card reset the phone keeping the SD card inserted on it.
PS.: Remember, the phone
reset process will erase all the files stored on the phone. If you
have music, videos, photos, documents you don't wont to loose it will
be better save them in the PC or SkyDrive.
I would suggest you to
create a backup before resetting the phone. It will permit you to
recover the emails accounts; the apps list, the messages; the phone
call history; the phone settings.
How to make a phone
backup?
- Take your phone and go to Settings>Backup.
- Tap app list+settings.
- Tap back up now.
- Go back to Backup and tap on text messages.
- Make you sure the first 2 options are on ON.
During during the post
reset process you will be asked if you want to backup you stuff,
please don't do it. You will be asked to Recover your backup copy
ahead.
